Alan Wright

Senior Partner

Alan is very much the Accountant’s Accountant and performs the vital function of maintaining our network of partner professional advisers, and as such has become a trusted adviser to these fellow professionals.

Alan has been a long-term crucial part of the firm as it has grown from strength to strength, playing a key role is the establishment of our crucial accountancy related taxation divisions of Inheritance Tax Planning, Capital Allowances and Exit Planning.

A graduate of the University of Newcastle, Alan takes an extremely practical approach to client affairs, and with each and every client will take the time to carefully consider the situation, appraise the client of all of the possible courses of action and counsel on the merits and demerits of each option.

Once an agreed course of action is established, Alan will utilise the resources of his respective teams and devise a clear plan of action, with work of the highest possible standard produced within a prompt timeframe. Alan’s clients rely upon him to tell them what they need to hear, not what they want to hear, with a very clear focus on practical solutions that work in the real world.

Away from the office, Alan is the worst footballer you will ever witness; yet in fairness, what he lacks in skill and poise he more than make up for in enthusiasm. Away from the 5-A-Side football league, Alan spends most of his time with his young family and if he can spare the time, enjoys reading crime thrillers, with an Ian Rankin novel (he can work an Inspector Rebus analogy into seemingly any situation) being his go to.
